Clear & Brilliant Laser
Clear and Brilliant is a unique laser skin resurfacing treatment that can help reduce and prevent the signs of aging. These laser treatments illuminate and smooth your skin, while reducing the appearance of pores and fine lines.
Treatment
Sun exposure and aging can take a toll on our skin. Solutions recommends Clear and Brilliant treatments for patients seeking a gentle skin rejuvenation of the face, neck, or chest. In just 4-6 sessions you will look and feel younger and more refreshed. Each Clear and Brilliant session lasts 20-30 minutes however, we will use topical numbing cream 20-30 minutes prior to your treatment. Plan on being in the clinic for a total of 1 hour.
Results
You will notice an immediate improvement in the look and feel of your skin after Clear and Brilliant treatment. Over the course of your treatments, you will see continued improvement as damaged facial skin is gradually replaced by fresh, new, toned skin. With proper skin care and sun protection you will enjoy your Clear and Brilliant results for many years.
Recovery
Just after treatment your skin will appear sunburned. This redness will subside in about a day. By day 3, your skin will start to feel “grainy” which is the old skin coming off to be replace by new fresh skin. You will not see it “peel” or come off because it is so microscopic which is why this type of fractional laser is considered to have no down time!

Laser Genesis
The Laser Genesis utilizes laser technology to safely and effectively treat uneven skin texture, fine lines/wrinkles, scars, large pores, and diffuse redness. Laser Genesis is a comfortable, non-ablative, non-invasive form of skin therapy. You can expect to see subtle yet consistent results after each treatment, without unwanted side effects such as bruising or excessive skin irritation. Your treatment can be performed in a relaxed manner without the use of general or local anesthesia, gel, or cream which is why this is called the “lunchtime laser”.
Treatment
This non-invasive laser treatment stimulates collagen renewal resulting in tighter pores, smoother skin, and the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. This method of promoting collagen renewal also smoothes, flattens, and removes the red discoloration of scars as well as makes is one of the best laser treatments for rosacea.
Results
Our clients who have Laser Genesis report excellent results over their entire faces, necks, and décolletage. You can expect to immediately return to normal activities, utilizing sunscreen if participating in outdoor activities. The treatment results are cumulative. On average, clients require 6 treatments (space 2-4 weeks apart) in order to achieve the best results.
Recovery
Although most clients report no side effects, the most common is a slight redness that fades shortly after the treatment that last only an hour or so. While treatment with Laser Genesis is the most permanent option available, the factors that contribute to aging and diffuse redness will eventually create new swollen capillaries and collagen destruction which is why maintenance treatments are recommended (usually 2-4 per year).

Laser Hair Removal

Using the wavelengths delivered by both Nd:YAG and Alexandrite, our Cutera excel HR becomes uniquely effective for all skin types. It features a high-performance dual wavelength laser system. As laser hair removal works through the generation of heat energy, it is important to protect skin from the effects of this heat which could cause pain if not managed smartly. Most laser systems attempt to compensate the pulse of heat with a perfectly timed shot of cooling excel HR takes the concept further. It uses a special technique known as sapphire contact cooling which delivers continuous cooling before, during and after each laser pulse.
Treatment
Before your appointment you MUST make sure you follow these instructions (otherwise our staff has the right to reschedule your appointment):
You MUST shave the treatment area at least a day before your scheduled appointment (that includes your back, men!)
For Females, please reschedule your appointment if you are on your menstrual cycle.
No waxing, tweezing or hair removal creams at LEAST 3 weeks before your scheduled appointment!
You must reschedule your appointment if you have any active skin infections, as treatments should not be given on areas with lesions or sores.
You need to avoid extended sun exposure, tanning beds and self-tanners for at least two weeks before treatment.

Because the energy from the excel HR laser seeks out and destroys ACTIVELY GROWING hair roots, it is important (if you want to get the best value from your treatment) NOT to wax / pluck / sugar / use EpiLady-type pluckers or have electrolysis for at least EIGHT WEEKS before treatment. These things temporarily remove the pigmented part of the hair follicle which the excel HR laser need to use as a target when they destroy the hair follicle.

Shaving or clipping the area to be treated is not a problem. In fact, we like the areas to be shaved the day of treatment or the day before. Some people find that the skin is less sensitive if it is shaved at least a few hours before treatment. Another advantage of shaving the area to be treated BEFORE you come in is that YOU can shape the area to be treated exactly the way YOU want it to be. This is of particular importance in areas like the sideburns, temples, and bikini line / bikini area. Excess hair should be removed from the treatment area before your hair removal session, because hair ABOVE the surface of the skin will simply absorb and waste laser energy and keep it from getting to the hair roots, where it is needed. Contrary to popular belief, shaving DOES NOT make hair grow back thicker, faster, darker or more profusely! So go ahead and shave before treatment, and between treatments!

Cutera’s excel HR laser is the safest and most effective devices for ALL types of skin, even African American skin that cannot be safely treated with other hair removing lasers. Many Italian, Greek, and East Asian people have been successfully treated with our laser system. However, the lighter your skin color at the time of treatment, the better the laser beam can get through the skin to the hair roots, where it is needed. Please avoid tanning and stop using artificial “tanning” creams for six weeks before treatment, you will get the maximum possible benefit from each treatment session. People with very dark skin sometimes need one or two extra sessions to reach their desired degree of long-term hair reduction. It is also a good idea to minimize tanning for a few weeks after laser treatment, to reduce the chance that your tan will be somewhat uneven.

Because lasers and IPL devices target the PIGMENT in hair roots, they work best on black, brown or dark blond hair. Because hair which is naturally blonde, red or white does not have enough pigment in the roots, those hair colors cannot be treated with any type of laser or IPL device.
Laser Vein Treatment

Treatment
The Excel V Laser delivers pulses of light energy which causes the blood within the vein to coagulate, eventually destroying the vessel and later reabsorbed by your body. Blood flow will then be redirected to veins deeper below your skin’s surface, where it should be. This treatment can remove unsightly veins from all parts of the body. Small, facial veins (or “telangiectasia”) can be treated quickly without complication. Spider veins and large blue leg veins can also be treated with excellent results. People with knotty varicose veins are not good candidates for this treatment. A careful evaluation with your provider beforehand will help you determine which vessels can be treated and the best course of treatment.
Results
Most patients find that the majority of the treated veins have shown significant improvement within two to six weeks of treatment. However, your final results may not be apparent for several months. Often, patients find that one or two treatments are sufficient. However, the number of treatments necessary depends on the number, color, and size of the vessels being treated. Since individual results vary, ask your provider about your specific condition.
Recovery
Although many patients report few, if any, side effects, those most commonly noticed are bruising and local swelling of the treated area. The redness typically lasts less than 24 hours and bruising can last up to a week or more. Although rare, some patients may experience small blistering that usually resides in a few days.

Photorejuvenation
Our Cutera laser is a technologically advanced way to promote vibrant and healthy looking skin in men and women. By treating conditions that are most commonly associated with premature signs of aging and sun damage (blood vessels, rosacea, facial veins, red stretch marks, red acne scars, angiomas), you can achieve youthful, glowing skin. The results from individual treatments are subtle, but the overall effect and combination of multiple treatments can be dramatic.
Treatment
The Cutera photorejuvenation treatment is ideal for any part of your face, neck, and décolleté. Light (low contrast) brown spots, which were previously difficult to resolve, respond very well to this type of treatment. Our photorejuvenation treatment addresses an array of superficial pigment and vascular changes caused by the sun that occur in the surface and mid skin layers. It’s a must for anyone with redness on the neck and chest (you know the kind that won’t go away no matter how much sunscreen you use—that’s called poikiloderma).
Results
Brown spots will start to darken immediately following treatment and your skin may appear slightly red. You may also experience mild swelling in the treated area. It should resolve on its own within a few hours or days. Within 1-3 weeks, the darkened spots will flake off and fade. A series of treatments is recommended, along with daily sun protection from here on out to help maintain the results.
